I frequently present my sculptures in the company of short stories, complicating the relationship between the text, the viewer, and the object.  I am interested in the power of stories to complicate our understanding of objects.  To that end I invite other artists and writers to engage with my work by writing stores based on the sculptures and where possible read them aloud with an audience.  To date those talented writers include Kari Marboe, Michael Swaine, Maria Porges, Hazel White, Kyle Meztner, Richard T. Walker and Cooley Windsor.  I am deeply grateful to them for their friendship and participation.
